UMD does not have a pre-medicine major but does offer specialized advising for such students via the Reed-Yorke Health Professions Advising Office. The office only meets with admitted UMD students or alumni, but prospective transfer students may find information on their websites helpful.

The Transfer Academic Excellence Scholarship (TAES)
The Transfer Academic Excellence Scholarship is the most prestigious merit scholarship we offer to transfer students. It covers full tuition for four consecutive semesters and is specifically for students who have studied at a Maryland community college.
